Background: After a change in the curriculum from 20101 RCOA edition to 20212 edition, there is greater flexibility for experienced trainee but potentially increased challenges ‘new’ novice. The first few months of novice training are challenging, navigating new hospital, getting familiar with theatre environment without adding educational challenges. can allow you experience and create supervised learning events (SLEs) your experiences rather than creating fit assessments. However, this requires familiarisation organisation regards bespoke assessments; initially be burdensome add significant stress trainees’ mental load. Based on informal feedback, we thought that may benefit some suggestions how assessments everyday through optimising otherwise wasted time.
